Cocktail is a theme I have down-pat. After working in the events industry I seem to have gathered a significant collection of dresses over the years {which is bound to happen when you attend and run over 50 events a year}. I’m one of those shoppers who buys the second I see something suitable. Generally the criteria includes cleavage coverage, knee length, stretch fabric (just in case I have to help out with the final styling touches for the event) and it must be a great fit.
I spotted this ‘Lace Yoke Illusion Sweetheart Dress’ on Torrid and it was love at first sight.
This stunning dress has an illusion black lace overlay with 3/4 sleeves and a nude lining with a sweetheart neckline. A sexy keyhole cutout detail the back adds a little bit of vava-voom. I adore how this dress is elegant yet funky in it’s own way.
With my bust size wearing a strapless bra is just not comfortable so I opt to wear a black bra underneath. At the end of the day I don’t really care if the straps are showing.
Now ladies believe it or not I’m a size 18. This dress is SO flattering. I haven’t lost a bazilion KG’s ~ merely a great fitting dress that hugs my curves in all the right places. Fit wise this is a 2X which is quite loose on me.
It’s so hot up in Far North Queensland at the moment so accessories are kept to a minimum. My staple pearl earrings and a pop of pink with my shoes and lippy. {oh and my clip on pony tail which means I can tie my hair back so it doesn’t go curly half way into the event}

The tools and controls are easy enough to work with though, and before long you should be able to create some pretty cool images. Another perk is that Mirrorgram will share to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram which is nice for those of us who do most of our photosharing via social media platforms.
